Loyalty of TCs,"Settlers" to Turkey

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby utu » Fri Apr 17, 2009 9:31 pm

I read in a news article that President Christofas and Turkish Cypriot Leader Talat had agreed that Turkish Settlers who are married to Turkish Cypriots and/or have offspring born in Cyprus would be permitted to remain. The number would be around 50,000. Humanitarian considerations aside, would this agreement be regarded as a plus or as a minus by the folk in RoCy?

I think you will find that that is a red flag to a bull. But it wouldn't surprise me. It's the logical thing to do.

I have said before, the settlers are more TC than the TCs. Turkey can't control them no more. I wish I was there. My whole family was there tonight.

Last time I spoke to level headed TC I was informed categorically that most TC's have great resentment toward settlers for various reasons. To the point where TC's will not support business owned and run by settlers.

Its normal for him to say that just before the election. I can't believe that if Erouglu supports Talat in the negotiations, they can get together to put an end to this. The same may happen on the other side with DISY and Akel working together.
There may well be a God after all.
Halil do you have a list of CTP candidates.

GC's are supporting the settlers restaurant owners just like one ,u pass the lokmacı gate .... it is full up with GC's customers everyday ... they are having great time together ..... to have a lunch and have a Efes beer under the Efes Pilsen umbrellas. u should see them how friendly they are to eachother ......

live and see ! .... thats what we are expriencing now .

Every saturday i go to Buyuk han to have my Turkish coffee .It is full up with TC's ,GC's ,settlers and tourist .... we are learning by living and seeing each other .... most of the settlers in the arasta street they also learned some Greek words to speak with their customers ......
