Nope ... we along with the other Apes, descend from Common Ancestors! :wink:

Humans and Modern Chimps (having the last Common Ancestor) evolved separately after the split from the distinct Common African Ancestor, which was present in the Pliocene (5-8 M.y.a.).

But I get your drift .... However, I prefer the fact that we as Humans descended from ONE mother last seen in Africa about 150,000 years ago ... pretty recent origins-that-bind really. :D

Thanks O. I can't respond to you I'm afraid - something wrong with messaging for me. Would have been interesting to field some of the inevitable remarks - but not very constructive so have taken your advice.
