i think you have an overly rosy picture of pre-revolutionary Iran from these images. You only had to drive 10 minutes out of Tehran and villages had no electricity or running water. Literacy rates were under 50%. and the monarchy suppressed political freedom and opposition which eventually made the population prefer anything but the monarchy. not to mention that these images only portray the elites. period.
