cyprus brain drain

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I guess their crimes weigh heavily when it comes to producing a competitive Curriculum vitae ...

I don't think there is an imbalance of "brains" in the free areas of Cyprus. The GCs abroad are the same as the GCs in Cyprus. There are brilliant scientist, medics, writers etc living and working in Cyprus and also in UK/USA/Greece ... Most are simply located where it best suits them for easy access to their work, and using planes as commuter trains, to connect back to their homeland of Cyprus. There is a lot of freedom to use the world as your workplace from wherever you are, but it doesn't alter your origins or ties to home.

I think DT. indicates he travels a lot for his work with his base as Nicosia and there are others who similarly travel for work like DT. but are based in say London. So he exemplifies the modern Cypriot.

In the end, the qualities of people are in their up-bringing and how morals and ethics are instilled in them during their formative years. These are the same for GCs regardless of location. But I do despair as to what kind of misfits are being generated in the "TRNC" with such conduct displayed by their forefathers in excusing themselves for stealing, and accepting Turkey's ethnic cleansing ... The enormity of this crime is paramount when kids grow up and may have to mix with peers abroad who have the correct respect for Human Rights.

If TCs had brains, they would just get rid of the Turks and rejoin normality...

Big Al, the Cyprus you’re describing in more like the “TRNC” not the RoC.
