..and what merits are they? The merit of playing with words so Cypriots can have their human rights taken away with the consent of another Annan Plan.....???

After 49 years of this conflict we Cypriots need to decide do we use UN Earth Principles or do we opt for Uranus/Marshan UN principles but please make our minds up soon.

You have Turkey's best interests at heart not Cyprus' - I would defenetly not define you as Cypriot.

A lot of folk in the north would counter that folk like you would have Greece's best interests at heart. Personally, I think that is a rather silly counter-argument, but a lot of the folk in the north believe it. So the question begs: what would you call Cyprus' best interests? And when I refer to Cyprus, I'm referring to all Cypriots (not just the Greek Cypriots).

what else to satisfy a large return of g/c to a g/c state(ie:lapithos and karavas area as a exclave.or kythra and surronding villages as a enclave.ie more villages around famagusta ie egkomi, agios serigos, limnia, stylloi)

Because and this is my belief people want to go to there homes,i dont think they care who has more coastline or better farming land.i think we need to get the most possible people to there homes without upsetting the balance.

and what would t/c ask in return .

Varosha or Maras as its also called will be a major headache. The whole place would have to be pulled down and rebuilt. I know of GC's who are already arguing who would get what in the case of any settlement. Families have been fighting over it. What ever happens in Cyprus someone will benefit financially, isn't that the Cypriot way these days? Yes both Greek and Turkish, let's not make out that either sides shit don't stink. You're probably one of the very few people who have called Varosha or Maras as it called as a separate part of Famagusta. There are people out there that claim the whole city is a ghost town. I beg to differ, but that's what propaganda does I suppose. Famagusta is alive, Varosha/Maras or the newer bit isn't. I mean what makes me laugh is that an Estate agents website advertised on You Tube shows that Lefkara, near Larnaca is 100 metres from the sea and on a clear day you can see the Lebanese coast. Errrr no you can't! Who are they trying to fool, some poor Arab with more money than sense. Ah Cyprus, the environment and mother nature is coming to bite you in the ass!

And what are the UN Earth principles, YFred? Do you happen to know them? I doubt it, as I am sure you have only the Annan plan in mind. Oh those leaders and media of yours. …how easily they take you for a ride, all the time.

Makarios, Kyprianou, Klerides, Vasiliou, TPap; they all had/have the interests of all Hellenes at heart. That's why i definetly defined them as Hellenes.

When it comes to individual relations, I personally don't have any problems with Hellenes or those who r supposedly Cypriots. I don't care whether an individual define himself/herself/me/he/she as Cypriot or Turk or TC/GC/Hellene. What I care abt is how ur leaderships and political groups back by masses define themselves and yourselves.

What ' island's culture'? There is no single Cypriot culture. Only the seperate cultures of all four major ethnic groups: Greek, Turk, Menanite, and Armenian. If there were common elements, there would not have been a Cyprus Problem.

YFred, the UN principles are the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Resolutions, only! Now that you have finally learned what the UN principles are, do you still accept them as a framework of the solution, or you have already changed your mind and instead want some other planet's "UN principles?"
