I THINK THATS HOW YOU SPELL IT...IF NOT SOMBODY WILL TELL ME..
THE HOUSE I AM BUYING IN APSIOU...IS NEXT DOOR TO THE MUKTAR?
HOW DO I IMPRESS HIM.. SHOULD I INVITE HIM IN TO SEE THE CATS AND THE BIRD...

Yes, a Muktaris (as it's pronounced in Cypriot Greek - Muktar is the original Turkish term, I guess) is to a village what a mayor is to a town.

In Cyprus they tend to believe that the world revolves around them, and that they are part of a superior caste. If you need them (which you probably will), I'd suggest you be extra nice to them and go along with what they say.

BUT HE WILL BE LIVING NEXT DOOR TO ME.. HOW WILL I KEEP THE CATS OUT OF HIS GARDEN...MAYBE I WONT TELL HIM ABOUT THE 5 CATS THAT ARE GOING TO LIVE NEXT DOOR TO HIM..

eventually he will find a way to take care of your cats if they annoy him. i feel sorry for that blind one. wont know what hit him.

HAVNT GOT A BLIND ONE YET ,MIGHT BE AN IDEA TO GET ONE ,,,IT WOULD BE LIKE THE 3 WISE CATS SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL, AND WALK ON 3 LEGS
