We have come to the end of this particular poll , contrary to the results of the "election" in the North where the settlers vote determined the outcome of the "election" this poll , out of 21 votes , 13 T/Cs considered that Cyprus is their motherland and rightly so.
3 opted for Turkey , settlers no doubt !! and 5 elected the "trnc" as their motherland !!

We know of two T/Cs that told us on the forum that they did not vote but consider Cyprus to be their motherland.
I take great comfort knowing that the majority of T/Cs consider Cyprus as their motherland.

As far as the other " election" is concerned my personal view is that the election was won by the settlers and that the majority of T/Cs did not vote for the right wing party supported firmly by Turkey.
Crucial times ahead I'm afraid.

Suddenly I see, even the moderates have trurned racist. The only Turkish Cypriots are the ones that can trace their relatives to the invasion of 1571. So its down to 11%. Dream on.

I read a lot of bitterness in the GC posts, you appear to rejoice in the TC demise as you call it? Is that the case or is it disgıised concern that in another 20 years you will be faced with an even bigger problem of 70 million Turks on your door step. When will then be asking no begging for agreed division?

Congratulations, you have performed harakiri on yourselves as a community for the sake of Turkey's strategic interests in the Eastern Med. You may now pat yourselves on the back and continue on your way of the dodo.

Doesn'tmake a difference to us anymore VP, this is what you fail to understand. We've moved on as a country, an economy and a quality of life. We've digested the theft of our properties and have grown accustomed to yearning for them while living our lives in the EU. The bad news for you though is that we're prepared to keep you in this state of limbo as non-entities in the world for as long as possible. The motivation for a racist solution with the TC's is just not there. On the other hand we will never accept a legitimisation of the situation simply because we're not forced to.

Only way out for you is democracy I'm afraid because remember, for northern Cyprus to be a separate state you will ALWAYS require the signature of a GC. That GC hasn't and will never be born.

DT do you realize that TCs prefer the current situation together with all its faults compared to the solution the GCs offer? you have to get your head around this fact before anything else, then you will understand that your brand of democracy without safeguards and a revenge seeking majority will not encourage any TCs to look your way or want to unite with you. We will not become just another minority in a GC state run solely by GCs where they can dominate and discriminate against us at their will.

More radical things have happened in the world than ignoring a GC signature, as you have what you want a GC state which you have placed in the EU, keeping on with your current mindset only prves to the world that a solution in Cyprus is impossible and that TCs cannot be kept isolated forever a day will dawn which you will not like and be kicking yourselves for the missed opportunities, the ball is firmly in your court only thing is you dont know it and dont want to play fair.

DOn't talk to me about fair VP. The biggest millitary agression that this island has ever seen took place in 74 with GC's as victims. You're sitting there playing the fear and victim card requesting 50% for your miniscule minority in exchange for land you stole.

The intervention for us and invasion for you did not happen out of thin air as you well know, it was caused exactly by the same attitude you display in your posts even today that we are a minuscule minority which has no right to fight for survival not only for our lives but existence, nothing has really changed your goals are exactly as they were 49 years ago, and look where they got you. You need to re-evaluate and change grasping the fact that we are your equal partners and as such the world supports BBF which means 2 communities living side by side with one international fascia, the sooner you grasp whats on the horizon you will know whats fair until that time you are doomed to carry on the non productive no destructive work of your fore fathers.
