TCs and Turkey don't ask privileages or double-standards. We ask a feasible solution based on our unique historical background and realities. There r unique local, regional and global elements of Cyprus problem that requires a unique solution to be found. Even federalism, confederalism etc hadn't been heard until they first time appeared on planet earth. Talking how it fits u and ignoring the facts only helps to amuse u and ur alikes. That's all.

A feasible solution to you ARE privileages AND double standards. Who is negotiating for you anyway? TC or Turkey??

Both in cooperation. When we need Turkey give us her full support. We need her support to get the support of international actors for our solution thesis. Had TC administration been an internationally recognized entity; we would have needed a little political and fianancial support of Turkey.

So you basically admit that President Christofias is negotiating with Turkey and her best interests??

Regarding the existence of TCs in Cyprus and our rights; there r no divergence of opinion between Turkish governments and TC governments. Chris negotiates with TC leadership fully backed by Turkish governments.

Oh ... and let's not forget that our northern friends are not the second largest "group" on the Island; the Ilegal Settlers shipped in by Jurkey and Donktosh have that title.

As Insan said, there was the problem of two communities on the island (the major ones), one wanted Enosis and the other did not. Those that wanted Enosis did not give a piastre for what the other wanted. But that was in the past. We are here now, where do we go from here? Thats is the question. We cant turn history back. We are all Cypriots, whether Greek or Turkish, lets move on. Rolling Eyes

With all due respect, what gives you the right to disregard Armenian and Maronite Cypriots as a main community, when their combined numbers represent the same ratio to the Turkish Cypriot community, as the Turkish Cypriot community does to the Greek Cypriot community.

End of the day, if Greek Cypriots make up 80% odd of the islands population, and Turkish Cypriot about 18%, id say there is only one 'main community' and the others minority (if we are going to start talking about main communities). The numbers are there to see.

The only way we can move on is to have a single unified state, where each person has the same democratic rights as another, disregarding their ethnicity. Otherwise, the problems from the past will crop up once again.

They threw their lot in with you guys..

Have you forgotten vp that many of them were forced out at TMT gunpoint from their homes in north Hora. Surprised you seem to have forgotten the events of 63.

Settlers would like to thank GC and Greek leadership because they owe their existence in North to Hellenic ruling elite. For us TCs, settlers helped us a lot to at least keeping abt 90-100 thousands TCs in Cyprus. We thank settlers absorbing TC culture, way of life and keeping pace with us.

More like TC absorbing settler culture. Your an enemy to all real Cypriots - your trying to eradicate the culture.

Diaspora GCs have no idea abt Cyprus history since Ottomans, let alone knowing the TC history, social life and culture.
