Looking over a few documents and charing a few meeting is a lot different from knowing when and haveing the balls to step and save peoples lives, look at Bosnia.

anyway, the reason is clear whats the point talking about that... we as regular people are not in a position to do anything about that at the moment. And there is no point of proving it to other old generation of TCs which is being represented by few well known members on this forum. YOu ask them about an obvious violation and they ask you 2 questions in return... i have been here for too long and went throu dozen of similar topics, no point seriously...

Avoiding the issue/questions will not make them go away.

Demilitarization is plain suicide. What happens if Cyprus has a feud with a neighbor sometime in the future that escalates to a military violation?

Every country has the right to self defense and an obligation to protect its citizens from foreign aggression.

I can make a better offer than you! I offer a one way ticket to all TCs to Turkey plus to buy all their land at the real market value! This is the best solution that satisfies everybody. We will finally have freedom for our island and no more problems and that is the gain for us. And the TCs will have everything they ever wanted. They will not have to live next to any other Cypriot but next to other Turks which is what they like. They will have the Turkish army that they so much love and have all the security they ever wanted. They will not be a minority because Turks are the majority in Turkey. And there will be a sea separating them and the bad Greek Cypriots!! This is the ideal solution for everybody!

Sotos, sodoff  Please grow up.

GR, if Cyprus does not attack anybody else, who would attack Cyprus and for what reason?
Why hasn't Switzerland been attacked even by the Germans in WW2?

??? The EU and UN have NOTHING to do with the threat of foreign aggression of any given country.

Are you seriously asking me to predict the future or assume you can convince me to accept an unprotected Cyprus because you can foresee no quarrels for the next millennium or two???

Another country would be attacking EU soil why are you so worried? is ti just so that you have your own army to force your will upon defenceless TCs?
