Very good dear :D .... but more Palaeontology than mere Geology :wink:

Dreadful erosion recently though .... feel guilty getting my mini-hammer and chisel out :lol:

Dreadful erosion recently though .... feel guilty getting my mini-hammer and chisel out :lol:


Yes def a lot of Paleo stuff. Must confess that I've had the hammer out at nearby Kimmeridge, where it's very easy to find fossils amongst the slate. I do restrict my hammering nowadays to what's been washed out of the cliffs.

Haven't been for a few years, but like you we just gleaned the obvious land falls and broke a few odd stones off the beach. We have some good finds, luckily, serving to stimulate further interest in what could be an unrewarding subject. Curiosity vs destruction .... a toughie! :?
