Limassol advertising in Bangladesh Times !!!

Postby miltiades » Mon Apr 13, 2009 1:49 pm

Just when we thought our rather high prices , in Cyprus , in view mostly of the weakness of Stg against Euro , our bright entrepreneurs have turned their efforts towards ...affluent Bangladeshis by taking a banner on the Bangladesh Times advertising Limassol.
We Cypriots seem to always rise to the occasion , well some of us may find such exuberant activity incompatible with our physical or indeed our mental capabilities.
The interesting question here is how many Bangladeshi tourists exist world wide let alone how many would be enticed to visit Cyprus where a stay in a 3 star hotel far exceeds the per capita income of US$ 470.00.
There is of course the possibility that www.limassol.com does not have to pay for advertising and encouraged by the huge population of Bangladesh approx 150 million embarked on this ridiculous advertising campaign.
Any thoughts on the matter ?

That bangladeshtimes is just an automated page. The some company has cyprus news and many others. http://wn.com/s/cyprusnews/index.html And the ads there are like Google Ads. They pay some cents per click. Nothing special.

I understand that 3 Bangladeshis have so far expressed an interest in a Cyprus holiday , awaiting for an answer to their application for permission to be accompanied by their pets , 3 poodles !
