Congratulations for your team for winning the world cup DT.... these kind of organisations are very good specialy for young generationes ... spor might bring more and more together the generationes . Those young boys had great chance to see the Turkey with their eyes . I am very glad .

For the group stage all I have is the final rankings.

CYPRUS 6 4 1 1 14 2 13
AUSTRIA 6 4 1 1 9 2 13
BRAZIL 6 3 3 0 11 3 12
IRAN 6 3 0 3 14 7 9
SLOVENIA 6 2 1 3 9 7 7
SWEDEN 6 2 0 4 6 15 6
BULGARIA 6 0 0 6 4 31 0

Quarter finals, Semi finals and final Cyprus won 4-1 against Denmark Germany and South Africa.

Something fishy here. Cyprus cannot beat Germany with such a score, never mind beating the Germans at all. Any idea what the level of the tournament was? Could apprentice (to big clubs) players be used, for example? I bet you it is not as cool as it appears.

It is a high-school tournament. This means that the 11 best players of a best team high-school in Cyprus played the 11 best players of other best team high-schools from those other countries. It is not the teenage national team of Cyprus, vs. the teenage national team of Brazil or Germany, because that would have been the 11 best players of a 300 million country (Brazil,) vs. the 11 best players of a country with only 700 thousand people (Cyprus.) It is more a case of a 1 on 1, or a case of the 11 best from a 500 student school in one country, vs. the 11 best players from another 500 student school in another country. It is a more representative and equitable type of competition, and it shows that Cypriots on a one-on-one level can be as a good or even better than any other nation or country.

Need I remind you that our national team drew 1-1 with Germany and would have won 2-1 had it not been for a referee ruling on an offside goal that was NOT offside.

I can understand your point though Banana. When Cyprus does well, your Banana theory doesn't.
