are you sure they are kidney stones and not gall stones, i had gall stones (32 of the bleeders!) about 20 years and had to have major surgery although now they do key hole surgery . it was extremeley painful and i was told to avoid alcohol and fatty foods, to stay on a low fat diet. until after i had the operation, but Kidney stones and gall stones have very similair symptoms.

Hi Sue, the result was - no kidney stones.

Basically, her body is in shock from doing a very low carb diet and is craving sugar levels - which is why she has all these strange feelings.

She was on a 500 calories per day for a month and he body is trying to repair itself - there is a word for this but I can't remember now. There is also no medicines or drugs to help either, just getting back to eating properly and having a proper diet again. The sympton the Dr said are very similiar to kidney stones.

So anyone thinking of doing a low carb diet - think again!

I think it is called malnutrition!
