hmm z4, dont give her alcohol until you have this issue sorted incase shes dehydrated or will need to go on antibiotics. Its not the end of the world if she takes some but it wont cure her of anything and might do more harm than good.

Mrs Z4 has them, we think.

I sympathise with Mrs Z4, I suffer from kidney stones and it's not pleasant, when the stones move the pain is unbearable, I would rather give birth!
I had an operation to remove mine, and I have since had more stones
I have read of many weird and wonderful ways to get rid of them, drinking your own urine was one (didn't try this ) another was drinking gallons of diet coke.

Actually to prevent kidney stone its good to have detoxification every trimester...i do this every time i pay my VAT
Its actually called DETOX, i think its around 25Eur and it lasts a month. Also you can try a more traditional approach by squeezing half cup of lemon juice and another half of olive oil... and you drink it. Next time you go to pee you will have a lot of pain but its basically an indication that it works.

Here is the contact of my Nephrologist, this guy is amazing... he closes appointment and could allocate up to an hour for you, he explains everything... he even got an Ultrasound machine in his cabinet. He cured me in 1 visit... and he even called me 2 months later to track my progress.

the pain starts in the back and travels around to the front, it makes you physically sick (it did for me anyway) saying that it is less painful for a woman is bull, women just have a higher pain threshold, proven fact

She will get ultra-sound treatment to break up the kidney stones so that they are smaller enough to pass through the body in a natural way as others already stated. It may well be chalk from the tap water is causing it by collecting in the kidney or calcium build-up. As a precaution, it may well be advised for her to drink only distilled water (pure water) where all the minerals are removed and lots of it (2-3 litres a day). It may not harm her if she also took a slug of house vinegar once or twice a day to act as a dissolving agent on the kidney stones. But please check with your doctor first if you should follow the above Kikapu's remedy.! Good luck to her, because I really feel her pain, because I had a very small case of the same problem, but lucky for me, it took care of it's self without a doctors help.!
