Open up another poll if you wish, VP.

Through this hypothetical scenario, I'm trying to establish what's most important to most Cypriots; allegiance to their ethnicity or allegiance to the island as a whole. Your options wouldn't garner this information.

Then I will refrain from voting as neither options are what I want.

Now you know, how most Cypriots feel (I suspect) about your options.

I respect your decision. And I respect you even more for sharing it with everyone else. Others who voted for partition haven't been so brave.

What about the people like me who do not want either of the 2 options? You have only the voters who want the options you have placed on the table, this may only represent 20%? So your poll does not reveal anything worth while than satisfying your own ego.

20% of who?

I think it reveals quite a lot. And it satisfies my curiosity rather than my ego. (Not sure what my ego's got to do with this? No one else apart from me knows who I am).

And if your ethnicity is more important than unity, if you want partition, then vote for 2, VP. You can remain anonymous.

18% is arbitrary, based, as you know, on population percentages. It could have been 20%. Or 25%. I don't think the results would have differed hugely. In fact, the result would probably have been more in favour of unity, which is what I voted for.

The Cypriot
20% of who?

Of those on this forum, so those that did not vote represent a far larger proportion which means eg 70% dont care for your options.

Your ego relates to getting support for your own ideology rather than a real feel of what Cypriots on both sides of the divide want or think.

And if your ethnicity is more important than unity, if you want partition, then vote for 2, VP. You can remain anonymous.

What if you want unity but not under the terms you are trying to force down our throats?

Can you provide examples of countries that were split by using population ratios?

Don't worry, VP, because you would fall into the Ultra NeoPartitonist who would end up with only 5% of land where the settlers will be your keepers until Turkey hands over the remaining 5% land to the south just to get into the EU.!

Are you satisfied now.!
