I've no idea what you or Byron voted for, VP.

Byron keeps on saying he hasn't voted and I've no reason to disbelieve him.

As for you, based on the exchange I had with you yesterday, I believe you're a proponent of partition. Whether or not you voted for it in this particular poll, I've no way of knowing.

Then why did you just agree with Miltiades as if you knew he was telling the truth?

Well put ! Since Cypriot has partially apolgised all we await for now is the proof from Miltiades .

Apologise for what so called Viewpoint?

Allow? I was asked whether I would respect the will of the majority in an open, fair – and entirely hypothetical – election.

Presumably you wouldn't allow the will of the majority. If the majority of the Cypriot people voted for unity rather than partition - as per this poll for example - you wouldn't participate and you wouldn't respect the result either. This is a double-edged sword, VP.

Viewpoint wrote: what if they voted for beheading or stoning adultresses would you just accept it?

According to opinion polls the majority of the people in the UK support the death penalty but no parliament would ever bring in such legislation, as to do so, would actually undermine a civilised democracy, not enhance it. Voting for the stoning of adulterers would fit into this category.

So long as its understood that I am voting under protest I am voting for unity.

I appreciate your candidness. And your vote for unity. It means a lot.

I also voted for unity I'd hate to see my country torn to pieces. Any difficulties can be ironed out; surely.

49 years says it cant....

Only because you were not allowed to try earnestly.

What are you two arguing about? Your both on the same side: Partition.

Little do you know.

Enlighten me, VP.

Yes I take you on, please prove it to everyone !

Have you not voted then Byron ?

You said that I voted for partition and you could prove it , so why are you asking me now whether I have voted.

Is this your way of apologising, if so I do not find it at all amusing .

Time to apologise to both of us miltiades like so many you thought you knwe what we voted and could prove it, feel free to do so or try and save face by apologising.

So you did not vote VP .Prove it mate the poll right now CY Time 19.10 stands at 17/ 9 . make it 17/10 , as for Byron let him cast his vote , that he says he did not use and make it 18/10 .Here is the challenge for you both.Make Miltiades look a fool and cast your votes now !!

I'm very sad to hear that. 'Dismembering' means to tear apart.

Byron wrote: On the political front again you are making allegations that I would wish to see Cyprus dismembered or partition when previously you even concurred with my view that no Greek Cypriot in their rightful mind would vote democratically for partition. Have you now changed your opinion?

If you say you didn't vote for partition then I've no reason to disbelieve you. But perhaps you might explain why you refuse to vote for unity.

{I'm very sad to hear that. 'Dismembering' means to tear apart.}

If you saw my house you would be not only be very sad but heart broken !!!

You still do not understand do you. There was no obligation to vote, it was a free vote to those who wished to vote. I decided not to vote because the manner in which it was proposed was too simplistic as mentioned by many on this forum.

For once I agree with pretty boy...it didn't have an enosis as an option....

Apologise for what so called Viewpoint?

For blindly agreeing with Miltiades lie.

So if you felt so strongly that your life was in danger or your death sentence was being prepared would you still go along with it? Gifting cyprus to Greece meant exactly that to TCs and you in your wisdom have helped sign you won death warrant, that how bright and aware you are to the dangers of capitulating to the GCs "majority" demand. They will use democracy to wield the power they crave to take and control the whole island push you into minority status with out and safrguards to guarantee your effective input into your own future. You have a lot to learn.

According to opinion polls the majority of the people in the UK support the death penalty but no parliament would ever bring in such legislation, as to do so, would actually undermine a civilised democracy, not enhance it. Voting for the stoning of adulterers would fit into this category.

This is just an example of what the majority can do in the name of democracy, and if you gift this power to GCs you are in effect placing your future 100% in their hands as they will work to exclude and exploit you in every walk of life and camaflouge it with the "majority" power you gave them yourself.
