Realism at last by a Greek Cypriot paper!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Kikapu:
"Yellow Journalism"

I think you mean "New Journalism", in the sense that my deliberate techniques are undesirable to all Ultra-Nationalistic Greek Cypriots.

Just imagine what I could write if given a PC and some time!

Mr H, Get a laptop, use your time better and write your articles, I know for a fact that Cyprus Mail will print them, no fear, especially if it comes from the heart and its to the benefit of all Cypriots.

Sending out the wrong signals again YFred? From the heart of a TC, is nothing more than "hooliganism journalism", in finding common ground for unification.

Journalism is dead in the west. All we read about is the propaganda that each government puts out. They don't even have to type it, is given to them typed which is why its refreshing to read the Cyprus Mail. You may see it anti-Cypriot, it is realistic which is why it’s hated by all the hardliners.

Finding a common ground is what is happening for the very first time since 1960 despite all the hardliners effort to derail the talks. Christofias has to hold his nerve, and negotiate in good faith, Talat will give plenty, but if he reverts to Papadobullos mentality of all or nothing, he will get nothing.

TCs fear of attacks by your right wing elements are not imaginary but very real. It can take us back to 1963 in days. The justice or lack of it dished out by RoC police and judges is very real. It all has to be addressed.

I hope one day we can get to total peace where all can leave wherever they choose, but you have to understand that it cannot be done in one step and certainly not in these negotiation. Confidence and trust has to be built first.

The only "common ground" at the present time in Cyprus is that of mutual suspicion and loathing...

You have to have lived there to understand it.

"Realism at last by a Greek Cypriot paper" ?

In what way is the Cyprus Mail a Greek Cypriot paper?

I rest my case. If these are the fanatics and extremists we have to negotiate with then call the whole thing off. We'll happily watch the areas under Turkish military occupation rot into some eastern anatolian shanty town.

Question: How many years before the TC's become extinct.

1) 2 years
2) 5 years
3) They already are

.... and the roc policy finally achieved. Well done, you can pat yourselves on the back for a job well done.

You wish.
