Have a look at this STRAIGHT path from mainland Greece to Paphos. Even if we assume a perfectly straight navigation cutting right through other islands even, we’re looking at a 900Km journey! In reality it would be more like 1,200km of sailing in the most sea-unworthy of boats back in 1200BC! Think about that for a moment…



So how did these mythological “huge migrations” to Cyprus take place? Have any of you ever seen what a typical "Mycenaean boat" looks like? How do you squeeze in 100’s of people on these things?



And why would they ignore dozens of islands nearby and head for unknown Cyprus lying 1,200 kilometers away in that thing! Oh, please pull the other one!

NB: This is BC we’re talking about so don’t go looking for Aiolos cruises!

What a load of rubbish GR. The Mycenaeans visited and traded with the eastern Mediterranean in general, and were easily capable of bringing people to Cyprus. It would have been a gradual process, not one huge migration! By the same token, how did the Minoans (who were even earlier) bring the Minoan script to Cyprus? Crete isn't that much closer. Oh I forgot, you reckon they didn't, by again ignoring the evidence! GR wants to re-write history based on his own arbitrary beliefs with little or no evidence, and ignoring or dismissing all the evidence against him.
