I fear I must also say that those who take part in it have lost the plot and also lost sight of the Real National Struggle.

The real national struggle indeed .Our people to unite and get those occupying foreign troops back to their home. Get the Cypriot people to cast off the chains of oppression by Turkey and Greece and proclaim loudly that Cypriots we are and Cypriots we shall be .

ps.Denis , how is the date mate

FFS Milt, what chains of oppression do you currently have from Greece?

This is getting f**** ridiculous

The chains of oppression are the mental ones , the perpetuating brain washing that WE ARE NOT CYPRIOTS but Hellenes . The continuation by the Church to deny our people their true natural inclination to be Cypriots. Why on earth does a church have to fly a Greek flag and violate by so doing my rights as a Cypriot to be a Cypriot.
The brain washing or rather the indiscriminate mental rape that is continuing is what I call " oppression" .
The T/Cs are far more exposed to it than the G/Cs but one can understand their guarded misapprehension at letting lose of their own chains.

So you feel mentally oppressed by Greece because the church flies a Greek flag?

Milt, our church is the Greek orthodox church..they're not gonna fly the Canadian flag.

And you're equating this with the physical occupation of our country by the Turkish army? Have we lost the plot a little?

You know me better than that DT !
As for the Greek Orthodox Church flying the Greek flag what do you think the Canadian Anglcan Church flies , or the Australian Anglican Church or even the Spanish Catholic Church !!!

Erm, I would like to point out that the Anglican Church is the Queen's Church and they do fly the British Flag and promote and allegiance to a foreign Monarch.

Bye Bye Milt!...

The Mycenaeans settled on the western edge of Cyprus at Maa-Palaikastro as early as 1190 BCE Within a few decades, they moved into the Cypriot city of Paphos (also called Palaipaphos, to distinguish it from the later Roman town of Nea Paphos) and shared the city with the Cypriot inhabitants. The Minians also moved to Cyprus, settling the north and east of the island in early eleventh century. By the tenth century, much of Cyprus was Hellenized.

That explains GR!s hatred of Paphites.....they are much taller than his 150cms...

GR! is nuts.

Greek writing from Knossos to Homer:

by Roger D. Woodard

"there appears to have occurred a massive influx of refugees into Cyprus from the Aegean. These Mycenaean or "Achaean" refugees settled in several ..."

Here is Roger D. Woodard's exact words. Why is every one stating the exact same thing?

Here we go:

The Dorians from northern Greece (present day Slavs?) had overrun the Mycenaeans to extinction, so what did the 18th century Slav-Greeks invent?

They SHIPPED THE MYCENAEANS OFF somewhere else (Cyprus) so that “Hellenism” would not get extinct!

The Slav-Greeks of the early 1800s, literally BUSTED THEIR BALLS to form a continuation of “ancient Greek” history to the present and that’s why they had to come up with some method of "evacuation" for the Mycenaeans whom they loved!

Only problem is they can’t explain how this mass-exodus occurred with 1200BC technology, or how on earth the Dorians let them get away!

MYCENAEN SHIPWRECK in KITION re GatTourri.

I think that the trade and migration links are well and truly proven. The Greeks of the 19th century were too busy fighting for their freedom while the Cypriots were too busy playing tavli at the Ottoman Kafeneio.

I also have evidence that Choirokitians are now exploiting GC stolen properties in the "trnc".

Ok, what ever you say. Lets see what Historians and world renown academics say on Ancient Cyprus

The Cambridge Ancient History

By P. Mack Crew, Cambridge University Press, J. B. Bury, I E S Edwards, C. J. Gadd, John Boardman, N. G. L.

Continuity of tradition was certainly maintained between the Mycenaean period and the archaic Greek period by the recitation of which were transmitted orally for several centuries, especially in central Greece, Ionia and Cyprus.

What did I tell you??? They had a PROBLEM with continuation because everyone knows that Dorians had wiped out the Mycenaeans so they INVENTED all sorts of shit to keep the flow going, from a mass exodus to Cyprus to “transmitted orally for several centuries”, etc!

It was all decided in the 18th century… the names of periods, the continuations, etc...

“The archaic period in Greece (750 BC – 480 BC) is a period of Ancient Greek history. The term originated in the 18th century and has been standard since.”
