Anyway ... stiff upper lip ... pull myself together.

This is about the memory of Smokey, and not Sheba or Tipsy who died ages ago!

Smokey :? ... I hope your pain is less, your suffering at an end, the aches of old age soothed away and Gabrielle by your side to guide you to a puffy, soft sweet scented cloud upon to rest .....

Sorry to hear about your loss Deniz. Our 20 year old cat, purdey, is on her last legs (she only has three - shot by a gamekeeper). The vet suggested we put her down last week but she is not in any pain, one day she leaps about like a kitten and then sleeps for hours. She has kidney failure and is losing weght but surprisingly still has a good appetite. It's so sad when they go.

Indeed Jerry. I hope it is not in pain. Perhaps you should reconsider.

Poor 'tiripode'.

Don't put them down if you can help it ... every day ... even with a little pain is something ... as there is NOTHING after that! :(

That is so cruel! How do you know she is not in pain?? Kidney failure, losing weight and the ripe old age of 20 you really ought to reconsider. Are you sure you are not having her put to sleep because of your own selfish reasons? :?
