... A pseudo-Ph.D., huh? Rather unscientific, wouldn't you say?

No real knowledge of informants identity, gender, social class, age, ethnicity or any of the other necessary parameters for opinion gathering!

Fail .....

My minor is in psychology, so my thesis is actually tapping into that as well. I'm also monitoring other forums, so don't go making too many snap judgements, Lit... BTW, enjoy your online poker.

Hhmm ... not very observant, are you? :?

Anyway, monitoring other fora, doesn't make-up for lacking accurate information on your subjects .... unless it's a virtual-thesis.

well as long as you have other forums.... The whole thing sounds rather worrying to me from any academic perspective, unless in your thesis title the word online forums is mentioned specifically. You have no clue who anyone is here, what their ethnicity is or anything about them except what they choose to reveal. This forum has very little to do with real life- any medium where you can hide your identity will allow you to act out of character.

Out of curiosity, are you going to use the forum polls that get real starts as statistical proof on the opinions of the residents of cyprus?

A minor correction here turkkan , some of us on this forum are an open book with photos posted including family members , I for a start have met more than 10 "active members" and spoke on the phone with many more. Some I have met on more than just a few occasions so it would be hard to conceal your true self in such circumstances.
I believe that if you are open about your views and your self you then have nothing to conceal or fear for that matter.
I have one ambition left and that is to meet Oracle in a ...dark alley preferably , as for GR I would only meet him in front of reputable witnessess , he scares the ..wine out of me

Two new enemies today, One Italian one Spanish.

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, who arrived in İstanbul on Sunday evening for an intergovernmental bilateral summit with Turkey, defended Turkey’s ambitions to join the EU, saying that the door to membership must remain “open” for Ankara as long as it adheres to the requirements set by the bloc’s 27 member nations.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said he also backed Obama’s support for EU membership for Turkey, telling reporters he was confident that current obstacles holding back Ankara’s talks with Brussels could be solved.

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, who accompanied Berlusconi during the summit, told reporters that Sarkozy’s outright objection to Obama’s remarks stemmed from concerns related to “domestic policy.”

Bottom line is you're not getting in without convincing us first.

We are not getting one of the options without your cooperation. There will be plenty of others to choose from.

Can we add Obama to the list of enemies yet? He might be thought to be to cosy with Turkey.

Wait until the shock of today is over first, we will then be able to gauge what is being thought, but he certainly will not be on the Easter presents list of the GCs. If the different dates were confusing enough, this will really put the spanner in the works.
