Need I point out the relative importance of Turkey and RoC in world affairs and hence USA foreign policy?
You are not telling us anything new. If it wasn't this way then Turkey wouldn't manage to commit so many crimes against Cyprus.
As I said many times, Turkey has the big guns, the big market, pipelines etc on its side. What Cyprus has on its side is justice, something which is 100% on our side.
What it boils down to is that Turkey can occupy 1/3rd of Cyprus without being forced out, but at the same time it doesn't have any legal, moral or other ground to legalize her crimes against Cyprus. Turkey might be important and powerful, but not that important or that powerful to be able to achieve such thing, and the last 35 years prove this.
The balance of power does change often however, and when you consider that Turkey is a torn nation between Turks and Kurds and also between Secularists and Islamists there are a lot of things that can go wrong in Turkey in the not so distant future that could change the relation of Turkey with the West and therefore the balance of power. If we are not stupid to denounce our rights by then, then we can have a chance in liberating our island from those who illegally occupy it.
