Cyprus WAS turkish ottoman ruled 400 years . but now because of turkish and greek exist and the fachist ones made mistake in 1974 then of course we want 2 states as stated on annan plan. i m sure many gc s 78% doesnt want we live together. doesnt matter 80% of cypriots who are turkish they dont want to live together and the 20 percent the young ones who doesnt know how the really greeks are

yes it was ruled when ottomans came killing thousands of gcs and catholics over 20,000 so again as a resulkt of invasion and occupation, doesent mean cyprus was turkish.. just means they invaded yet again and raped and killed.. but when they sided with germany in world war 2 england took cyprus from ottomans and offerd it to greece if they help but greece said no

Greece only said no because its King was part German and he wanted to remain neutral. Venizelos wanted to enter the war. Greece later did enter the war, but Britain said it was too late. This is just an excuse. I don't think Britain was ever going to give the island to Greece, because it was too strategically important for her. They only said it to bring Greece into the war.
