Probably at the municipality that the beach belongs. If you are just going to pass by selling things for some minutes and then go then I don't think you need any special license but if you will be constantly on the beach then you will need license.

Selling on the beach in Cyprus is illegal, for five minutes or 1 day without a license. Licences are extremely hard to come by, it is still in the realms of who you know.

So you think that an icecream car that passes from a beach for some minutes needs a special license just for the beach? I don't think so. But if you are going to have some business set up on the beach then for sure you need a license. And depending on what you want to do it is not easy to get a license. I was just reading a few days ago how they took the license of Guaba Beach Bar and they had to relocate.

I remember the story of the ice cream vendor who drove to Curium Beach throughout the summer selling his wares. Went to court and fined £1.000 Cypriot.
Also the two guys who set up making kebabs on the same beach on a Sat, they were moved on by the police after two visits. You will find that people who do pay for a license get very upset at even the ocassional vendor without a license. I do not think they powers that be will be interested in the ocassional passer by but will hit hard the regular vendor who trys to sell without a license.

If you will be driving any motor vehicle to sell you merchandise on the beach, that alone is illegal. Why not tell us what do you intend to sell and maybe we can help you more with information.

Well i figured that if the seller has a cart or stand at the bach then that would require a license, i am thinking of a 'walking around' type business. I suppose if one doesn't collect payment on site, ie have an office near by to do the admin that might not need a license. I will check with the municipalities...
