In agreement with the above GC posters; the surprise is that any TC could feel so shocked (shame on you Deniz) that their slaughter of thousand of GCs, the ethnic cleansing which followed and continues, the occupation of nearly half our country, and our future mired constantly by Turkey ..... should have instead taught us a lesson that we must abandon any forms of partnership with Greece ... which is all anyone still talking about Enosis with Greece this day can mean as we are firmly tied to Greece (+ France, Germany etc) through the EU.

It's as if they are regretting they have not beaten any free thought or expression out of us, with the treatments they unleashed upon us.

How dare we even, still, mention Greece in the same breath as Cyprus, eh Deniz! Haven't we learnt what the Turks can do to us?

I noticed a panic on G/cs side/ All trying to excuss anyboidy on their side stated to refer to Union with Greece.

Of course Union with Greece is not on todays G/cs agenta but it was their main target few years ago.

lets compare the Targets:

Turkish side: 1960-1974 :Target TAKSIM

Today's situation:

Greeks target : unknown - anything offered is acceptable/negotiable
Turks : NOT TARGET BUT ACHIEVEMENT : 5 MINUTES BEFORE TAKSIM

Just a comparizon of situations/politicians/power/STABILITY ON TARGETS.

No panic, just hate it when something this absurd is quoted as fact by the TC newspapers.

but my point is that this guy is saying that enosis might still be alive with one old man... where as turkish dream of partition is very much alive even in the goverment and openly announced, could you imagine if christofias openly announced he wants enosis and the greek goverment what would happen? and if they where to beg eu and us at every chance so they could have it???
