How can we steal our own country?

Same way a man can rape his wife if she says NO to him but he goes ahead and does it anyway. Marriage is not a license to forcibly have sex with your wife. That how one steals something that does not entirely belong to them.! Then again, it all depends in which centuries mentality you choose to live by, which may explain some of your statements in general.!

The comparison between rape and living in your own country is a bit extreem even for you but lets say we have been raped dont we have the right to seek a safe haven? The TRNC is our safe haven.

Stop changing the subject, VP. Just admit that one can steal something that does not belong to them entirely, and a country does not belong to anyone entirely, as the example I made between a husband and wife. Nobody said that you were the victim of a rape. If anything, to illustrate how someone can steal something that they do not own entirely, you will be the one who would be considered as the Rapist, so lets not go there. Once again, it all depends in what centuries mind set one lives in, because for some, forcing sex with one's wife is a way of showing love and affection towards her in a twisted mindset way.!

You were the one who introduced the rape analogy and when it was thrown back in your face to prove my point you want to ditch it. Well Mr it dont work that way and Cyprus belongs just as much to TCs as it does GCs time you realized this fact. TCs have a right to live safely and peacefully without being dominated or discriminated against and until a structure can be found to accomadate both sides then TCs have every right to live in 37% of this land, dont forget w ehave given up 63% of our country until a solution can be found if ever.

The only thing that you have proven with your logic is, that a husband should be able and can rape his wife if she says NO to him, just because they are married , and just as you should be able to and can steal your country just because you are an equal citizen with others. This is what you are telling us when you make such statement as "How can we steal our own country?". Well, you are doing it, just because the country does not belong to you entirely and you are denying access to other citizens the rights to their property in their own country, just as a women is not the property of the husband to do as he wishes against her will, at least not in the western civilization anyway.!

Very well said Kikapu. No one can possibly defend the fact that thousands upon thousands of Cypriots had their ancestral homes taken away from them some sold to foreigners illegally and most given away and sold to mainland Turks.
The land that is Cyprus belongs to all Cypriots but in order for law and order to prevail so that the strong does not exploit the not so strong , legal documents must be respected giving ownership to an individual. I paid for my apartment in Famagusta with my hard earned money , its mine .

Welcome back Miltiades,

VP has the idea, that just because one is a citizen of a country, it is not a crime or a theft if one citizen denies other citizens their human rights to enjoy their country as well, as they see fit, just because one is able to impose such measures. He believes it gives him that right because "might is right" attitude, but he should be made aware, that "the one who lives by the sword will die by the sword" and VP's cries will just fall on death ears when that happens. I urge him and others to remember these words,

"Be nice to your neighbour, because he knows where you live.!"

As I said before the rape analogy is not a very good one but your persistence in its continuation only brings about the thought that the stronger and more powerful GCs raped the isolated and discriminated TCs for 11 years prior to the TCs fighting back and gaining a safe haven called the TRNC. This area is as much mine as it is yours just like the 63% you live in is just as much yours as it is mine. you seem to confuse the difference in private property ownership with country ownership which are not the same...TCs have a right to live peacefully on this island, we counldnt do it together and have been sucessful in doing it in 2 specific areas. As for private property rights which I support should be resolved either by return if possible or compensation at todays prices, this can only be done via a comprehensive solution which at the last attempted was rejected by the GCs.
