If Cyprus is a “Greek” island then...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If Cyprus is a “Greek” island then why is 37% of her territory still enslaved by the Turks 35 years on?

Greece obviously does NOT consider Cyprus as Greek!

When was the last time Cypriots had any guts apart from 55-59?

When was the last time Cyprus displayed effective international diplomacy.

No guts no glory indeed, and if you want Greece to fight your war, then Cyprus must have the guts to start it. Does Cyprus have the guts to start this war? All actions point to a resounding NO!

Greek as in its a greek island in the same way that Santorini is and I want it back someday?

Or

Greek as in a country inhabited by a majority of Cypriots who are ethnically Greek?

Which are you asking Greece to mean in your questions?

:? That's funny! You weren't overly concerned about that when Paphitis posted this little gem...

Questioned Paphitis's history there and I asked a question about how serious you are with this poll. Is this for real or are we kidding around?

If you don't agree with any of the above options, feel free to write so and explain why...

Sooner or later you'll have to confront the question:

"If Cyprus is a “Greek” island then why is 37% of her territory still enslaved by the Turks 35 years on?"

If we're going to be this simplistic about it then I guess the answer is "for the same reasons that Smyrni and Constantinople are now Turkish."

Why are you bashing Cyprus when Greece hasn't shown any guts since the 40's? As far as I can see the Cypriots fought for their ideals a lot more recently than the Greeks ever did.

The only thing I said is that Cyprus had a real opportunity in 1821, but alas the Choirokitians lacked the balls whilst the Greeks embarked on their brave quest to destroy the Ottoman Empire, a feat they achieved with the eventual assistance of the superpowers(France, Britain and Russia).

This serious problem:

If Cyprus is a “Greek” island then why is 37% of her territory still enslaved by the Turks 35 years on?

Because your fucking politicians are incompetent.

This would never happen to any other country except for Cyprus and that is saying something...
