I take it that all the soldiers in that ship were women!

Hearing so many Greek words in the western country you live in must be overwhelming for you, but you should know that some of them have multiple meanings

There is no double meaning, Lesbos island gave the word Lesbian to the world on account of a lesbian poet who was lesbian and lived on that island.

They gave the world "Astrology" also ... that doesn't mean they invented the stars does it, juvenile?

Didn’t they, I thought they had. I read it somewhere; the Greeks invented all the universes in the world!

At least I got you to google it, the more Greek history/geography you know the better person you become. You're welcome.

If I had googled it as you suggested, I would have given you the lady's name too, but I didn't I have huge wealth of useless greek information which I can share as time goes on.

Apologies then, good for you

Apologies, just saw the title. Well then sticking to the title, apart from getting Cyprus into the EU the last 2 Greek govts have done "fuck all"

The only govt to have made any effort was Andreas Papandreou's govt with the joint defense doctrine and the cassus belli against Turkey.

But again we're talking about the govts.

Greece never endorsed the Annan plan, some former Greek politicians endorsed as did some Greek cyp politicians, Karamanlis as Pm never endorsed the plan...Do you really think any Greek or Greek cyp would risk a war with Turkey even if winnable..Why not blame the Greek cyps for not starting an insurrection right after the invasion in 74. Why not blame the Greek cyps for building housing for the refugees right after the war, The Greek cyp administration has shit on refugees throughout these 35 years. Do you blame Greece or are you indirectly blaming the Greek cyp administration for agreeing on a federated state, which in effect gives the Turks the right to a section of cyprus, whose fault was it that the Cyprus problem was hushed up in the world arena so we could get more tourist to come to the island.
