Can one of our Learned GC friends explain this situation?

Tell that to the land registry. I have been waiting for nearly three years for the deeds. They are in a pile awaiting verification.

How long does the RoC need to verify a kochan belonging to a TC which is also an EU citizen. 3 Years and still counting. Does the RoC have any respect for the law?

Virgin birth, my arse, more like a still birth for the ROC. Call for Oracle with her syringe. A abortion is required. Its a big’en, 35 years of pregnancy.

RoC is not racist.

Now that is the best joke ever.

I suspect the answer will be even funnier. We shall see.

There is a huge backlog of work at land registry offices in the RoC. I bought my flat in February 2005 and am still waiting for the title deeds to be issued, even though the certificate of completion has been issued. And the other flats in my block are all owned by Greek Cypriots not foreigners, and they are in the same boat, so there is no racism involved. It is just bureaucratic inefficiency. I hope that I can get my title deeds soon, and that Deniz does the same.

Perhaps Deniz is the correct person to answer your question. BTW how does it feel to be the biggest racist on this forum?

You are looking in the mirror again DT. First you accused me of being a liar and now a racist, I think not. I do not have an ounce of racism in me. My best friends are Greek, Black and English. Just because I speak my mind about what RoC does or what some of your racist GC say or do does not make me a racist or sexist.

And no, Deniz can’t answer this; if he could he would have solved it. I expect a reply from some of the true supports of RoC to explain this as they have so much faith in the system and would like us to join it.

Perhaps he did not get it because he was not genorous    We had the same problem and we were clearly asked bribing if we want get the kochan that belonged to my grandmother that passed away !!! It took us ages and lot of money for the lawyer to get what belongs to us !!!

dont get me wrong we still cant use the area but very fair ROC goverment takes all the taxes from us .WE paid the taxes of last 35 years as well but the land is being used by a GC friend which I do not have any problem but If the goverment did give the land to someone else how dare they can ask us for the tax of last 35 years !!!

I know the answers from GCs .You cant have it bothways they will say. this is a general excuse of them like your houses were gone because of earthquakes

Tim Drayton already gave you the answer.

In case you missed it, here it is again:

Thank you for that Ierini, we need to bring out all the wrongs. I havn't even tried claiming my land, because I suspected that its a con, which is why I waited for a settlement.

That is a new one. So they expect the TCs to pay the taxes for the land that GCs used for the last 35 years before they will give the Kochan and only if you bribe somebody, but you are still not able to use the land in question. It gets better by the minute.

But my 'very good friend' last week posted that he had been waiting for years for his kochanis. So the GCs wait as well. Mention was made that all searches are done 'by hand' rather than 'being computerised.(posted last week). I am of a patient persuasion. Do you think going in there like a 'bull in a china shop' will quicken things? I dont want special treatment.
