There's no panic, the Swedish and CYpriot govt's meet on a bi-monthly basis in Brussels. This is simply a PR exercise for slaphead.

It wouldn't happen without President's Christofias approval.

President Mehmet Ali Talat has called on the European Union to help ease the international isolation of the Turkish Cypriot people.

The President’s words came at the end of a one hour long meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt in Stockholm.

The Cyprus issue was high on the agenda of talks between President Talat and the Swedish Foreign Minister whose country will be taking over the EU term Presidency in June.

Speaking after the meeting, President Talat said that he had conveyed the Turkish Cypriot Side’s disappointment in the EU’s failure to keep its promises.

He said he had told the Swedish Foreign Minister the importance of removing the ongoing international isolations as well as the need to motivate the Greek Cypriot Administration for a settlement.

Talat also told reporters that his scheduled meeting tomorrow with the UN Secrertary General in Paris was important in conveying the Turkish Cypriot Side’s position on the Cyprus Problem.

He said he will be asking the UN Secretary General to take on a more active role in the ongoing negotiations process.

Tomorrow, the President will move on to Paris where he will meet the UN Chief.

During his stay in the city, he will also hold discussions with former French Foreign Minister Michel Rocard.

He will also meet representatives of French media to brief them on the Cyprus issue and the ongoing negotiation process.

President Talat is expected to return to the Republic on Saturday.

Looks like Talat did all the talking.!

Did anyone respond to his questions for God sake, or was he just ignored as the case has been since 2004's AP referendum.

Where are the responses to his questions, Halil.?
