The RIK Eurovision committee lacks the funds to be able to entice a real star. Other countries like Greece spend millions on Eurovision, but I have no idea why.
Advertising and the revenue such a win will bring to a country is why countires take it seriously, plus a little national pride.
Maybe the TC and GC musicians like the UK (5th after years of coming last) should take it seriously and work hard at finding the right combination to get a result, its a great showcase for a country to promote and show itself maybe our division is why other countries do not take you guys seriously and bother to vote for a song which is embroiled in discrimination and biased mindset.
Can you tell us as to WHY, Turkey did not give any points to Norway who by far had the most popular song amongst the voters, and in fact, collecting the highest points ever.?
By the way, I did not watch the "contest", but as I was flipping through the channels, the performance displayed just before the voting started caught my interest by those creating quite spectacular images by diving on the transparent surface with water on it, viewed from below. But I did watch the voting part which proved my insistence, that this is a talent-less "contest" and that it is heavily political on top of it when it comes to the voting system..
