I will check with Admin on this to see which one of us has over-stepped the mark here.
I have done so and am satisfied with Admin's response and how the matter is being dealt with. I was under the evidently wrong impression that Viewpoint was female.
I have wanted to highlight – in a light-hearted and never malicious way – the irony of two people, on supposedly opposite sides of the divide, sharing similar views on matters. I believe this makes an important contribution to the debate, which habitually ends up being a largely sterile tit-for-tat exchange between 'G'Cs and 'T'Cs.
I don't believe my actions constituted a breach of Forum rules and they certainly did not warrant the nasty, foul-mouthed response from Viewpoint, which says far more about him than anything posted about him in jest.
I will avoid referring to Viewpoint as female in future as I now appreciate how much this winds him up. I will also avoid engaging directly with Viewpoint as I believe his over-reaction in this matter goes beyond common decency and is also disrespectful to other Forum members.
