The British Council has set up a website named LearnEnglish at www.britishcouncil.org / LearnEnglish to assist parents who want to support their children in learning English. In addition www.britishcouncil.org/ LearnEnglish / provides parents with free learning materials.
The website and booklets were designed by the British Council in cooperation with professional English teachers. The series of four ‘Learn English Family’ booklets sets out to teach how children learn English between the ages of 3-9 and how their parents can support them.
The LearnEnglish Parents website is a site designed by professionals for the parents that believe learning English is important for their children and want to spend quality time with their children while providing fun and activities. The LearnEnglish Family programme was introduced with the opening speech by the Minister of National Education and Culture Canan Oztoprak. Geremy Taylor, an expert in the teaching of English, introduced the presentation arranged for the teachers in the‘9 Eylul Primary School’ Hall.
