Cyprus Forum... harnessing its real power...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

 For that reason alone, I accept your nomination...

However, there should be a proper vote in the forum, with at least the top twenty members taking part for it to be valid...

Gentlemen

To date we have three nomination all of which have been seconded.

Two have been accepted and so must be considered by this Forum as candidates for the "Steering Committee"

Mr erolz. as per his post page 3 this thread. is away for a month or so.

Even if he should accept this will mean only three candidates for four places.

I have nominated two candidates, seconded by Mr Saint Jimmy and Mr Brother has nominated a candidate, seconded by me.

For an "election" we need some more nominations , seconded and accepted.

Well gentlemen??

Mr cannedmoose

I'm delighted that you have accepted your nomination.

I hope that Mr erolz will accept his as well.

May I ask how the top twenty members will be determined?

I would also nominate MicAtCyp... although I don't always agree with what he says, he is certainly one of the more pragmatic people on this forum and does make valid criticisms...

As for the forum's top 20 members, I'd suggest by number of posts - these are:

1. Brother
2. Insan
3. Piratis
4. Yours truly
5. Magikthrill
6. Erolz
7. MicAtCyp
8. turkcyp
9. metecyp
10. Kifeas
11. -mikkie2-
12. Saint Jimmy
13. garbitsch
14. Alexandros Lordos
15. Viewpoint
16. boulio
17. Bananiot
18. Main_Source
19. Murtaza
20. Pantelis

All in all, these 20 account for 70% of the posts on the forum and thus represent a good cross section of opinion and are all regular contributors. On a rough count, I also think we've got a 55%/40% split between GC and TCs (with me as the 5% outsider!)

I like the idea of a multicultural University.

But it should not be restricted to engineering or scientific fields. A Graduate school of international law would be a fantastic way to chew the Cyprus issue.

We should also open a hospitality college with preadmission courses for Greek and Turkish Cypriot High School kids.

We Should We Should We should but all we are given is cucumbers to sit on.

I nominate Bananiot as he has an impressive knowledge of both sides of the fence.
