Azia Beach Hotel Paphos - Hotels nearby please

Postby orokliniservices » Tue Mar 24, 2009 4:26 pm

Does anyone know where the Azia Beach Hotel Paphos is located and what hotels are near this one. It's booked solid until May and I have family staying there on the 28th of March for 4 days and would like to stay near them. A few options would be brill.

Thanks for your help.

thank you but from that map I have no idea what hotels are close by. I live in Larnaca and have only been to Paphos once. The hotel is fully booked, so i need to stay close by.

The Venus Beach is pretty close I'm sure. Maybe a 5/10 minute drive to the hotel. http://www.venusbeachhotel.com/english.htm

The Venus Beach Hotel is about 7 minutes away; the St George is rather closer - maybe a couple of minutes.

Are you aware why the Azia is full? It is a transitional R&R stop for Canadian soldiers who have been serving in various war zones - I trust you have no young female relatives staying there :-(

They are only allowed to eat in two local restaurants - so that the MPs can keep an eye on them!

Yes I am aware of this, this is my reason for visiting. My brother in law is arriving this weekend. The Canadian soldiers were here about 6 months ago as well with no problems, I'm glad the Canadian Gov't is putting our troops up in such nice hotels.

Me too, I think it is great that they have chosen Cyprus; at least one hotel (and 2 restauarnts!) will be busy. There are major (Long trem?) road works outside at the moment, which are causing total confusion.

Just opposite is Pappadoms - just the best 'Indian' in the Pafos region.

Lana PS For all those following the 'diet' thread, I apologise for the mention of Indian food!

Svetlana thank you for your help. Are there any other hotels near? The St George is a bit pricey for a weekend break. Considering we'll be spending the day at the Azia we don't really want to spend much for a hotel we won't be using except for a place to get our head down.
