He is the next President of TRNC, so I'd hurry up and get an agreement before he moves in dear boy.
Because after him the next President will be a New Generation TC.

The UBP win is a slap on the face of CTP for not delivering its not becuase TCs support UBP policies as their performance was just as bad but what CTP did was promised to deliver on specific issues which they did not and caused even more partisan probems within the daily functioning of evernment offices. This upset a lot of people who voted against them and favor of the only rel alternative UBP. Now we will see how the GCs will deal with a Nationalist Party which really supports a 2 state solution. Good luck as you missed out on the only reall opportunity you had for another 5 years.
Good luck to you too VP. You will soon be living in a much smaller Turkish State on Cyprus. Turkey will forsake the TCs in order to keep a base in Cyprus, one that is agreed to and accepted by the ROC.

Talat sees the writing on the wall. his party isnt doing to good. We have Christofias with his words below trying to give Talat's party a boost. It will probably have the opposite effect. And to Bana and Y-Fronts:
1) Try and comprehend what the article states below.
2) Try to keep your irrelevant questions about 1571 and the like to yourselves.
In other words, keep on topic:

NICOSIA, Cyprus: Cyprus' president said Monday that efforts to reunify the island would suffer a serious setback if political opponents of a Turkish Cypriot leader involved in negotiations win parliamentary elections next month.
Dimitris Christofias, a Greek Cypriot, has been in talks with Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat for six months trying to hammer out an agreement to end the island's 35-year division.
Chances of a deal would be "very difficult" if Talat's party loses support in Turkish Cypriot elections April 19.
Although the vote does not directly affect Talat's position as president, it is considered an important gauge of popular support for his reunification effort.
Opinion polls place Talat's left-wing party supporters behind the rightist UBP party.
Cyprus was divided into an internationally recognized Greek Cypriot south and a breakaway Turkish Cypriot north in 1974 when Turkey invaded in response to a coup by supporters of union with Greece. The north's administration is recognized only by Turkey.
"If we can't work things out with this man (Talat), who is considered progressive, then I don't know if we could ever work things out," Christofias said.
Talat favors a loose federation with the majority Greek Cypriots, but his conservative opponents back a two-state model that Greek Cypriots reject.
Lets begin with 1571, you will find that it is not us dear man, blame Piratis and his gang mainly Capo Mafiso GRo.
It has taken Talat nearly 20 years to convince Turkey of the significance of peace in Cyprus. Do you really think that Turkey would allow UBP to deviate from this path. For all the partitionist, before you start rejoicing, wait and see what happens to Mr Eroglu if he should win. You will see the gretaest 180 degree turn you are likely to see.
You have Talat to thank for this situation and you have the RoC and the EU to thank for his demise.
We shall overcome. Yes we can. You now we can.
If it all goes pear shaped then I blame the RoC and the EU in equal measure.
refreshing to see a Tc with no illusions of TC's running their own destiny and acknowledging that everything is controlled by Ankara.
trnc my arse. Yfred has faced facts that the north is Turkish occupied territory, when will the rest of you?
DT Any TC that is not day dreaming knows that north is a Turkish occuped country but knowing that will not make any difference...SAying that in TRNC you wil be named as traitor..Saying that in Turkey you will be named as more than traitor...
IB, TC leadership and Turkish governments have always been in cooperation in order to politically confront GC-Greek duo and all other international actors that give support to GC-Greek duo. Under the circumstances of TC leadership this is a sine quo non. Right? What makes u think that this is not a mutually accepted strong cooperation/collaboration between TC leadership(backed by overwhelming majority of TCs) and Turkish governments but u define it as governing by Turkey. Do u think there is any divergence of opinion between TC leadership and Turkey or u think TCs would accept Greek-GC solution thesis had they not "governed" by Turkey?
In the last elections we witnessed that total percentage of day dreaming TCs who claim that North is a Turkish occupied country, is not more than 2.5%. Among them, there r at least 1500-2000 Kurdish origin "socialist" settlers.
I accept that Turkey is doing a good proboganda to show that it is symbiothic coorperation but when I see the big picture I beileve that this coorparation is a part of the plan to easily put TCs under control.
What would you do If you want to control some organism ? You turn it into a parasite that is dependable on your support..If you block its energy metabolism ( analogue : Economy 'factories ) It will depend on you for food... Than you can get provide it with food so by time it will lose the capability of producing its own...If you provide it with excessive amount of luxurious food it will evolve and turning back is not easy..For TCs they are so used to easy life that they become greedy..They all want goverment jobs even If they establish their private jobs..( like parasites before evolving can produce their own food but it was easier to use the ready resources ) So th plan was make as many civil cervants as you can so you can control them... Kill the economy( No factories opened in Cyprus by Turkey ) .
.Pump them with nationalism and we saved us things to make them completely blind to see whats going on( 90% hotel and casinos controlled by Turkey and 99% used fri money laundry) even If see this they would ignore because they are gaining easy money..Be very nationalist but take electricity from GC then when there is electricity cut blame GCs
Then decide that lets make this control certain and outnumber the parasites in their enviroment buy a stronger parasite( settlers)..Give them land for nothing ( oops sorry for saving us ) They are very nationalist they were in Cyprus for us and will never sell the lands to Brits and Jewish people when they see a trace of money!! No problem tough at next elections they can get more land for all their hardwork !!!!
Stop sending money when there is a goverment that you dont like ( CTP-DP) you know the parasire wont survive) Civil cervants on boicot asking for their wages..Can you tell them we want to be indipendent and wont take money but will cut your wages to half ? How dare you just give the parasite the food that is needed...
Affect the elections by sending 20million euros to spread around for vote( non govermental)
Blacklist anyone that asks do we need all this military around?
Kill the journalists that is against Turkish military in Cyprus..
Induce migration of TC and replace them with settlers with ( Both of them are Turks proboganda)
Definetely blacklist people who did the first vicdani red ( oppose going to military )
General of the Army in Cyprus insults your prime minister
None of the TC in the army can become generals even if they deserve it
Treat students in a special way in university exams and make them learn Turkish by insulting them they dont know it !!!But by the special treatment students will easily enter good universities..( part of probaganda)
Never ever teach TC how they were send to Cyprus in 1571( Exhaled because they were believing in another part of Muslim )(Alevi)
Turkey ( Ottomans made TCs beileve that they had mutualistic coorperation once and made the people lose their culture by closin all cemevi tekke and turning them into sunnis which did not work...
Turkey is know trying to Turkify North Cyprus either TCs in it dissolving or by controling them with money and greadyness...
What a mutualistic coorperation !!!!
IB, there r too much exaggerations and over generalizations in ur opinions but I have respect. When was the last time u visited Northern Cyprus? How long u stayed? What relations u have with TCs and "settlers" living in North? R u aware of Russian concerns regarding the developments in her surrounding countries. Do u know anything abt the counter-actions of Russians and their relations with GC-Greek duo?
IB, when u get a broader perspective there's a big possibility for u to get many ideas and facts regarding the events.

A few days ago.......
Sultan Talat: My dearest humble TCs. If a peace agreement can not be reached by the end of my term then my work is complete and i will not run for Sultan. I have tried my best but was fooled by the evil Hellen Cristaki. Yes, beware Grecos bearing gifts. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me, you can't get fooled AAAGAIN!!
TCs: [Applause and cheering] i was never fooled once! Gifts from Grecos suck!
Sultan Talat: Please, please, allow me to continue...
TC: Eroglu is da man.
Sultan Talat: Ehh, as i was saying. Cristaki tells me that the GCs will never except a complex solution of a very thin confederation thats held togeather by my shoe string. As you know, the Grecos are trying to have their cake and eat it too. They do not want to share the oil off the Lemesos cost, can you belive that? Cyprus belongs to all not just the GCs! They are scuttling the talks with irrelevant property issues but we will never forget the 1960s!!
TCs: [Chants] Turkish Cyprus for the Turkish Cypriots!
Sultan Talat: An olive, please, an olive branch to the sole Denktash supporter, please listen to me. If no oil is found in the south - my shoe string will eventually rip!
Zan: [whistling] boooooo!
[Meanwhile, 20 miles just south, Bananatus is reading about the speach online from Politis website]
Bananatus: Wooooooooooooooow, what brave and honerable man! and so saaaaaaaaehhehh, sniff, sniff. That shoe string is a federation! It is, it is! Where is our Sultanus Talatus? How many GC politicians would not run if they they knew they would lose? HOW MANY?
