I agree 100% with a military solution. These days the National Guard has enough firepower to give Turkey a very hard time for 3-4 months nonstop. That’s plenty of time for the EU, and world powers to convince Turkey to forget it and bugger off if she decides to go for the long run which I very much doubt.

As I said in the past, we need to be prepared to sacrifice 10 or 20 thousand men for the sake of future generations, and ensure that there is no “Cyprus Problem” at the end of it all. This time round it will be a REAL war unlike the one-sided 1974 Turkish cakewalk.

Btw, I disagree with “guerilla warfare” and such… we’ve got enough firepower for a head on clash for a limited time. You can switch to guerilla warfare 3-4 months later if the enemy still has the upper hand.

Perhaps all Cypriots could unite with one voice and liberate Cyprus for the Cypriots.

Give it time , it may even become true.

It would be my absolute pleasure to liberate Cyprus from Turkish and Turkish Cypriot bollocks we’ve had to put up with for centuries, and hopefully at the end of it all everyone will understand that they need to STICK TO THEIR OWN COUNTRY and leave neighbors alone! If everyone would just stay put with their own kind, there wouldn’t be any problems around the world…

I did say btw guerilla warfare if needs be. I did not say that it is the preferred option. If we can beat them conventionally, I'm all for it.

What made u sure that EU and world powers would take side by u? The ones who believe military solution r u, so u would start the military action and Turkey counter it. Who would be to blame in such a case? Hellenes of course. No more trump cards have left in Hellenes hand to use. There's no need for troublesome Hellenes anymore in anywhere on this planet earth. Some Hellenic political groups caused too much harm to western alliance in the last 50 years.

The idea is to cause enough commotion, 10 or 20 thousand dead from each side, and so much damage, that Turkey will have to pack it in from too much pressure.

The pressure for Greece to join in will escalate by the day, huge riots will take place in major Greek cities calling on their government to assist Cyprus, London will panic at the thought of losing the bases, just as the pressure for the US to stop this before Greece joins in will also add to Turkey’s pressure.

The key ingredient is a HUGE COMMOTION to break the deadlock and liberate Cyprus.

Who “starts” the war can be easily staged so that doesn’t worry me. The National Guard has international law on her side to liberate her enslaved territory so that’s not an issue either.
