Is Cyprus a member of the EU or not ? Since it is then one of the 'prices paid' for membership is that EU law and the law of other EU states interferes in domestic jurisdictions. So when you say that 'this is not true in our case' you are 180 degrees from reality.

You maybe at war with Turkey but citizens or foreigners in the UK posting on this forum are not at war with Turkey and to incite people to violence, to plan acts of violence against Turkey (or other states) is subject to the provisions of various laws in the UK. Other EU states have pretty similar laws. (I make no comment on RoC anti-terror laws since I don't know what they might be or their form, but that doesn't mean that citizens of Cyprus now also citizens of the EU are not immune from other EU national laws or EU law).

Cyprus may only have a ceasefire with Turkey but if you as a private citizen kill a Turk claiming it was an act of war do you think the Cyprus state will treat you (a) as a murderer under RoC criminal law or (b) as a soldier ? Will other EU states treat you as (c) a murderer or (d) as a soldier ? I can say this with certainty : in the second set you will be treated as (c) a murderer. In the first set you will not be treated as a soldier (as b) and the odds are that you would be treated a (a). If you weren't then there would be serious repercussions within and for RoC law.

Who talked about killing as private citizens? I think we all talk about the war between Cyprus and Turkey here.
