Had you been around in the invasion you'd find that your car would have gone to Turkey free of charge. Ask any Famagustian.

[u]NOTE CONCERNING TURKISH VISA REGIME FOR CITIZENS OF GREEK CYPRIOT ADMINISTRATION OF SOUTHERN CYPRUS[/u]

As of 22 May 2003, holders of ordinary passports of Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus will be able to obtain single entry visas that permit 30 days of stay in Turkey. Single entry visas will be issued only for tourism-purposed visits and by the Turkish Embassies and Consulates without any fee.

Holders of the said passports may obtain a single entry visa by paying 10 EUROs at the Turkish borders.

Visas will be issued to Greek Cypriots who are residing in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus by the Turkish Embassy in Lefkosa and the Turkish General Consulate in Athens.

Greek Cypriots who are living abroad will obtain entry visas at the Turkish missions in the countries they reside.

Entry visas will be issued to a separate paper and will be valid for three months.

Entry visas will not be issued ex officio for official Greek Cypriot passports.

Greek Cypriot citizens will obtain single or double transit visa that permits 72 hours of stay.

Multiple entry visas will not be issued to the Greek Cypriot passports.

Greek Cypriot citizens will be entitled to enter Turkey with their private vehicles. They have to provide necessary documents for vehicle entrance, i.e. certificate of registration and insurance certificate, which is valid for Turkey, as provided by all foreigners.

Non-commercial and private yachts registered to Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, will be permitted to visit Turkish marinas and harbors with their crews and passengers on the condition that their last departure port should be in the territory of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
