Did the US threaten to sink the Greek Navy?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As we know the glorious Turkish air force was so brave and eager it managed to sink a Turkish destroyer, the Kocatepe and seriously damaged two others. They obviously mistook them for the 6th fleet.

You ever been on a US Navy air craft carrier YFred? Visit one someday and you will be amazed at the power concentrated on that ship and its surrounding fleet. Nothing flies within a radius of 1000 miles without their say so.

From very reliable witnesses I know that there was a Greek ferry carrying about 1000 volunteers, mostly CYpriot students from Athens, which was intercepted south of Rhodos by the US navy and forced to turn back.

That comment came from a very high ranked ex army officer - that they would have tried I have no doubt but could the fleet spot the planes comeing at them at 50 meters high in 1974, I am not so sure considering they were not that far away from the coast line.

I am glad you find me funny.

Nikitas, is too much of a gentleman so allow me to inform that we actually find you STUPID not funny.

Thank you for clarifying the matter. I would never have guessed.

I’m sure he is capable of rational reasoning… I’ll bet he’s currently wondering why there are so many flies hovering over just the one leg… 8)

Greeks introduced sex to the world, and the Macedonians introduced it to women.
