Can anyone tell me where there are CHEAP supermarkets in Protaras area ?

Orphanides in the Paralimini area - a couple of miles north of Protaras - it is just past the roundabout before the main town - there is a supermarket in the main town but can't remember the name and found parking more difficult there.

In Cyprus there is no sush thing as CHEAP supermarket

You could give "Kokkinos" in Paralimni a try. At least its a big one (for the area) and not one set up for tourists mainly.

Ermes - formally known as Woolworths , shud be one in the area ( i think)

Orphanides is the biggest. Chris Cash and Carry is the second biggest. Ermes is ok. I go there often but it is a department store and the food section is not that big.

We always shop at Lysiotes in Episcopi – an excellent ‘local’ supermarket with a bakery, butcher and good fruit and veg section. Somewhat cheaper than Orphanedes or Chris C & C.
