And I suppose Cyprus mail is reliable because it's printed... where???

What does it matter anyway who the Americans meet? USA has lost ıt's power and influence in Europe - especially when it concerns an EU nation. Now, now boys (and girls) - no need for paranoia... :D

Basically an attempt at convincing the TC's to keep talat as their leader.

Yassou DT! (excuse my Greek) That would mean they are doing the other side a favour would it not?

Merhaba re BigOz, Should I feel happy that he's going to see Hillary now? I'm confused.

Hillary is bringing Talat to Washington to offer him a deal, that if he signs on to a peace deal with Christofias without Turkey's influence, he can be protected under a "witness protection program" that will give him a complete new ID to live in Kansas.!

Remember what George Ball had told major Packard back in 1964?

"Son, you don't get it, do you! The name of the game is partition."

That was the policy then, it is still the US policy now.

President Mehmet Ali Talat has said that the exact date of his visit to the United States will be set by next week the latest.

The US visit has been on the high agenda of the Presidency for some time the President stated.

As part of his contacts in the US, Talat will hold a meeting with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Washington which he said will be on an invitational basis.

The US visit of President Talat will also include meetings with various political sides based in Washington and representatives of the US Senate.

The President stated that, if the visit starts on the 30th of March, which seems as a high possibility, then it will be possible for him to attend in a conference there to be held on the 31st.

Talat disclaimed the media claims that he would also be received by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon as part of his contacts in the US.

President Mehmet Ali Talat provided clarification over his US agenda during his visit to the Administration of Vakif today.

He was welcomed by the Administration’s Head Hatice Cavlan who provided him the latest on the works of Vakif.(EFKAF)

During the visit, Talat described the Vakif as an institution which integrated with the Turkish Cypriot existence and owned a significant role in protecting the Turkish Cypriot cultural and financial investments.

`Vakif also imbued Turkish Cypriots with the consciousness of struggle` he stressed.

Later on, the President also held an inspection tour at the site of St. Nicholas Church in Arasta which is now going through restoration with the EU fund.

I don't know there should be any fear from the GC's. As a TC, I don't have any fears. Talat is a Private Citizen and he can go anywhere he is invited. It will be good for Talat to see how Democracy in other multi ethnic countries work. Perhaps Hillary will drill my "BBF" plan into Talat's head.!

That I will welcome any day.!
