APOEL’s love of the Nazi swastika

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It sounds as though you know who they are, so why don't you shop them?

Shop them for what? Freedom of speech, this is reaction to what is going on. Turkish invanders/third world Immigration, anyway the Keltic cross is more common than the swastika (a Greek symbol anyway).

Cut the crap. The aforementioned plonkers use it in regard of nazism. Do u think they are familiar with ancient history? They are hardly aware of the recent events (1955-today), and they are the same plonkers that shout about greek cyprus and then vote for Analstasiades and his EVET campaign.

Its an attempt to slander a respected businessman and one of the most historic clubs on this island. Just as a note may I say that 6 athletes from APOEL (2 footballers, one cyclist and the rest track athletes) had been killed in the 74 invasion.

In the same way that one left wing 15 year old (if he knows what left wing means other than wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt) holding the pseudo states flag cannot tarnish an entire club.

Maybe this Porter guy painted the Swastika himself? I've seen many stories where this was the case.

One recurring problem I've been seeing in Cyprus is that nobody wants to assume responsibility for anything. Hence your argument above: "an attempt to slander a respected businessman." Hence other arguments I have seen wrt this article: it's just three kids, the swastika is an ancient symbol, the writer of the article should be handed a defamation lawsuit, etc.
Is it too far-fetched to think that the writer of this article has no hidden agenda? That he's simply just perturbed by swastikas? And would it be so bad if APOEL's leadership took a public stance on the matter and denounced Nazi symbols?

Swastikas and other such symbols are banned from the staidums. The team did that. What of the UK's shameless act to elect representatives of the BNP....a bunch of swastika carrying imbeciles? Where is the govts stance on the swastikas of those fools? And you want a football team to go on a vigilante search because 3 fools who painted a bunch of swastika graffitis happened to have been wearing the teams scarf?
