Nuclear tender decision after elections in Turkey

Postby halil » Wed Mar 18, 2009 1:44 pm

The studies regarding the tender for the construction of Turkey's first nuclear power plant are being finalized and will be presented to the Council of Ministers after the upcoming bi-elections, the energy minister said late Tuesday.

A consortium lead by Russia's Atomstroiexport submitted the sole bid in the tender to construct Turkey's first nuclear power plant in September. Turkey plans to sell two more nuclear licenses.

The first time i heard about this plan was when i was 3 years old. now i am closed 50. Of course this time things look different (several countries need Turkey for various reasons) and maybe the plan will go a step forward. Needless to say that personally i am always supporting nuclear energy than the dirty crude oil.
