Things to do round Limassol

Postby eracles » Wed Mar 18, 2009 11:50 am

Going to Cyprus on Saturday and would like a list of things enjoyable to do within the limassol area.
What interesting villages? Where to admire spring? Anything really. Looking for your insight. I've been down the old town, been down ladys mile, feel like i've done it all  but surely not! Any hidden gems? Secret places (PM me!)

Extra points for things that are suitable with a 6 month year old!

The most interesting villages are on the way to Troodos. Like Platres, Agros etc. And the nature is the best there also although now Cyprus is green almost everywhere and this is the good thing of visiting this season! For ancients you should go to Kourio if you haven't been already and there is also Amathous, the Limassol Castle and Kolossi Castle. Everything is suitable for 6 month old unless he/she gets dizzy when the car makes many turns and that is how Troodos roads are.

If you want ancients you could watch out for Miltiades this weekend in Limassol!

Very popular with the young of Nicosia, or alternatively you could pop into mine for a bagel and espresso, I am just around the corner.
Try a meze at Lania tavern, or honey balls at Trimiklini.

Hehe Woodhouse - Leeds? OK...now you're screwing with me! :P

Lofou sounds like the place to be....will definitely take a visit.
