I never thought I was actually going to start liking you re Get Real. Nice link and interesting to read - not that it really matters who was here first many thousands of years ago. But still, at least it takes away the bone from the mouths of the extreme fanatics who prefer to go on about the rights of a race, rather than the natural occupants of a country. For the link - I take my hat off to you!

As for what Byron says about Hellenic history and culture - I do not think even the Turks deny that! Everyone including TCs learn about the Greek culture and mythology at some stage and I am personally quite fond of the films based on the subjecs (albeit most are fairy-tales). But making claims that Cyprus belongs to one ethnic origin will get no one anywhere fast (even slow for that matter!). I rather see it as a fanatical ignorance...

I suggest you read more carefully before replying. No where did I say that Cyprus belongs to one ethnic origin . I am referring to those Greek Cypriots who relinquish their GREEKNESS. From this perspective even the TURKS acknowledge our GREEK heritage.
