Isnt that too much too fast? Be careful. Are you under medical suprvision? (re: losing weight)

1 Kilo per week is ok. Any more and you have muscle deterioration - that was my doctor’s advice.

That also was the advice given to me 25 years ago. The muscle wastage weakens the heart and causes more probs than before.

Go a few pages back suegwyn - 'tis the Cabbage Soup diet that his wife has put him on to kick start a healthier eating regime!

Of course! I think I'll give that one a miss :)

That is a sign that you have no serious weight issues. If you were serious, you'd try anything. If Kafenes (in spite of his mother and wifes cooking) can do it, anyone can. Instead of cabbage, try leek soup wit lots of pepper and onions.

I don't have serious weight issues, just want to fit into my summer clothes :) :) :)

And I want to get back into a specific pair of jeans. So I just have a box of chocolates to get rid of today, and then I'm all ready to start tomorrow! :D

If you don't manage to finish your box of chocs you can freeze them and then have one if you feel the need :) I have a whole wardrobe full of clothes that I can only wear if I don't want to sit down and breathe at the same time :?

Good tip on freezing; unless you're a chocoholic  .... all or nothing!

As for the jeans, I actually can't get into them right now :(

All this tell of food or lack makes me a little peckish.

I'm in need of a little feasting.

When is the Orthodox Easter this year?

I'm so looking forward to loads of flaounes and the extra special souvla that marks Easter Sunday. Yes, a special BBQ, pork, lamb, chicken for the ladies, some pastourmias, sheftalies, perhaps some fish and sea-food, very fond of mackerel and cuttlefish on the old coals, ooh and BBQ'd halloumi always goes down a treat, very popular with the children as are eggs wrapped in foil in the embers.

Desert? A boxfull of shamishi, some kataifi and saharoboureko (sp?)

Definitely need to put on some weight this year. :D
