There's a growing number of threads opening up recently which consist of nothing but trash talk between GC's and TC's

Is there any way we can get back to some kind of a level here on the Cyprob? A little fun is always welcome but here, we're getting page after page after page of one-liner's which do nothing to promote debate on the Cyprob.

We once had some TCs that provided good quality posts regardless of their political views. TCs such as Shah, and Big OZ.

Now these guys are not very active and have been replaced with lunatics such as Y-Chocks, Doesntnohisarseisonfire, and Insane...

I wish I could but they won't let me in, if you make even the mildest criticism of "trnc" you get banned. How's that for freedom of speech! At least you can let off steam on this site. Some of the posts on C44 gave me an insight into what is really happening in the north especially the posts by the carpetbaggers who were/are shitting themselves over the property issue.

It just goes to show that many TCs on this forum are still asleep and would introduce the Burkha if they could...The Islamification of Turkey will also result in the Islamification of the "trnc" as more and more settlers are imported.

All must be free to get across their view in any way they see fit. Sometimes that means a sensible debate but sometimes it means a sinple trashy thread which let's people get things off their chest simply.

I agree with my learned friend from Kyrenia. However its when there is no choice given to the rest of the debaters that I mind.

A thread is started with a proper argument and facts to back it up...give it 3 secs and its gone back to trashtalk. I'm all for getting things off our chest (which is why I have an APOEL season ticket) but I also believe that some threads should be respected in order for a proper debate to take place.

Too many seem unable to deliver jokes, just insults and profanities, and it stifles productive interaction. I can give as good as I get, and so too can Rafaella ( ), but it's not about exchanging crude blows to equalise the playing field. So best avoid sexist remarks and then more women would join in.
