Turkish-Cypriots are the Muslims we need, whereas the Greek Cypriots have nothing to offer us — indeed, they are are damaging — in the battle for hearts and minds in the Islamic world. An independent Niorthern Cyprus, faithful to Western values, is more important to the future of the West than the tiny and a wholly irrelevant Greek Cypriot South. One must not expect GCs to understand it, but they just do not count in the greater issue of the West v Islam. Northern Cyprus is the future.
