GR says…

Cigarettes are GOOD for you!

Need evidence? Here it is…

The French woman, Jeanne Louise Calment is officially recognized as the oldest verified person who had ever lived!
She was born in 21-02-1875 and died in 04-08-1997 for a grand total of 122 years and 164 days!

“Calment smoked until she was 117, and only quit when she could no longer see well enough to light the cigarettes.”

WRONG !!
Jeanne Loise Calment used her ripe old age to benefit her family by concocting the cigarette smoking habit. She in fact never smoked , Gittanes paid her the sum of 1.45 million euros to say that she did so fools like GR who smokes like a chimney would continue doing so using he longevity as a reason for continuing their smelly dirty unhealthy drug habit .

Smoking bans where I live in the US crept into some local places, then statewide, then some surrounding states in some form. When the ban in bars first happened I still smoked and I got used to going outside, even in the bitter winter. Having a smoke free room actually got pleasant to even this smoker.
A few years later when the bans became statewide I was in one of the last places to allow smoking in bars the night before the law was to take effect and I had stopped smoking (I was with a woman who smoked and wanted to be at a bar where she could). I gotta say I am glad the smokers are not choking everyone out anymore because the contrast is immense.

But a smoking ban in Cyprus will not work. When I was there I still smoked and I remember in the airport, the bars and even in some restaurants there were no-smoking signs everywhere, but all that meant is instead of having an ashtray you had to use a paper cup with water in it.
My GC relatives on the island express the attitude as I am sure all GC have is that Cyprus laws are not laws, they are more like guidelines.
